Meet and Greet at Cape Town International Airport and start our Tour with Cap Clssique Wine Tasting at Its Birthplace
We will pick you up from Cape Town International Airport and you will venture into Stellenbosch, the wine capital of South Africa to visit the birthplace of Cap Classic SImonsig Family Vineyard. The Cap Classique is the South African traditional way of producing sparkling wine, which to some experts is the very best traditional method for sparkling wine in the world.
The iconic SImonsig Family Vineyard, is one of the first three to start the first Wine Route in South Africa in 1971. And is the place where the first South African sparkling wine, Cap Classique, named Kaase Vonkel was produced in classic secondary bottle-fermented style, by Frans Malan, during the same year. Enjoy a tasting of six wines including Cap Classique, white and red wines, complemented by a Charcuterie and Cheese Platter Board. You'll also observe the art of Sabrage—uncorking a bottle of Cap Classique with a saber, a tradition thought to originate from Napoleon's era and taste the iconic Kaapse Vonkel, the first South African Cap Classique. If you love sparkling wine you can replace all wine with different expressions of Simonsig Cap Classique. You will also have the opportunity to have your own sabrage expereince. You will then travel to the accommodation in Worcester to check in and enjoy dinner around 19:00.
Wine Cellar Tour at Robertson Winery and Wine Tasting, Cap Classique Tasting at a World Class Wine Estate, Wine and Artisanal Chocolates Pairing in Worcester
Breakfast will be served at 07:30. Today, you will set off on a journey along the Worcester Wine and Olive Route and Robertson Valley, which are part of the larger the Breede River Valley Wine Region of South Africa, who is the largest wine-producing valley in South Africa, known for its dry and semi-sweet white wines, dessert wines, sparkling wines, and brandy. Your day will kick off with a visit to the Robertson Valley, famous for its wine and roses. Robertson Winery is the biggest brand by units sold in SA and you will experience a Cellar Tour followed by a wine tasting of 5 of the most popular cultivar range wines. You will then visit a world class award-winning wine estate often referred to as the "King of Cap Classique," in South Africa for their exceptional quality. You will taste five five of their exquisite Cap Classiques, complemented by cheese, rainbow trout and charcuterie platter. After that you will taste and pair three wines and artisanal chocolates in a Worcester. Later in the afternoon you'll return to your accommodation for a delightful dinner at the lodge around 19:00.
Franschooek Wine Tram Experience, Visit Three Wine Estates with Two Pairings and Franschhoek Tour
After breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation and make your way to Franschhoek, one of the most picturesque towns in the country. Renowned for its French Huguenot heritage, exceptional wines, and fine dining. You will have a unique experience on the wine tram, visiting three wine estates. Enjoy a Heritage Wine Tasting of four wines, featuring Chenin Blanc an the iconic unique South African Pinotage wine, paired with biltong and nuts, have lunch in one of the oldest wine estates in Franschhoek and explore Franschhoek. After that you will have a wine pairing where you can choose between pairing of three exquisite wines and oysters or three exquisite wines and chocolate brownie pairing. Later you will go to your accommodation in to check into accommodation for the remaining days of your tour. You'll experience the true hospitality of a wine estate featuring traditional Cape Dutch architecture, beautifully preserved gables, and authentic window frames dating back to 1795. Breakfast will be served at 07:30, after which you'll embark on a unique experience in the Cape Winelands. Enjoy a guided game drive and tour through the Vredenheim estate's game fields, cattle paddocks, fruit orchards, alongside the Big Cats Park. Feel the excitement of a Game Drive, where you'll witness a variety of wildlife, including zebra, springbok, fallow deer, eland, water buffalo, and sable antelope in their natural habitat. Your adventure will continue with Vredenheim’s farming operations, focusing on game and cattle farming as well as the Big Cats Park sanctuary. To complete this exceptional experience in the Stellenbosch Winelands, indulge in a signature wine tasting - wine and venison pairing, featuring four exquisite estate wines, paired with delightful options including smoked crocodile carpaccio, kudu and wartthog carpaccio.Later, discover Stellenbosch, South Africa's wine capital, renowned for its stunning vineyards, fine wines, unique and beautifully preserved Cape-Dutch architecture. Lastly, explore an award-winning wine estate and sample a variety of organic wines, brandy, grappa, rakia, and liqueurs, all made without additives, sulphites, or fining agents, highlighting the craft of traditional, centuries old winemaking. The estate also cultivates olives, fruits, and nuts using traditional and organic methods. Later you will return to your accommodation for dinner around 19:00.
Vineyard Walk with Wine Tasting, Wine Blending Experience, Traditional Braai Dinner
Breakfast will be served at 07:30,And than you will enjoy a charming vineyard walk in a prestigious wine estate in Franschhoek. The Rickety Bridge team will lead you through their historic estate’s vineyards, offering insights about their soils and vision. You will enjoy the breathtaking mountain views while you indulge in tastings of selected estate wines accompanied by a cheese and charcuterie platter. You will have a thrilling personalised wine experience of blending different wine components of the estate's unique varietal. Under the expert expert guidance of the estate team you will craft your own custom bottle of red or white wine with a personalised wine label, which you can take home. Later in the afternoon you will return to your accommodation for a delightful traditional braai dinner at around 19:00.
Wine and Cheese Pairing and Transfer to the Cape Town International Airport
Breakfast at 08:00am and departure from the accommodation. We will then take visit a renowned wine farm in Paarl and you will have wine tasting and pairing of 6 wines with cheese. We will then take you to Cape Town International Airport. End of tour.
