Marine BIG 5 & Shark Cage Diving

Start your day early with a trip to Kleinbaai. You’ll be welcomed with a cup of coffee and a nutritious breakfast while we take care of check-ins and answer any questions you may have. Your safety is highest priority; our crew undergoes extensive training to ensure everyone onboard is secure. A marine biologist or skipper will deliver a thorough safety briefing, and explain what you can expect when we get out to sea,  before you have your life jackets and board the vessel, located just a short distance. Cage diving is the safest way to have close encounters with sharks, allowing you to interact with these magnificent creatures. The cage is securely attached to the boat during the dive, and our crew will assist you in and out of the cage, which can hold up to six people at a time. No diving experience is needed, as you’ll simply hold your breath while enjoying the adventure. Each dive lasts around twenty to thirty minutes, giving you plenty of opportunities to capture photos and admire these animals. You also have the option to enter the cage twice if you wish. Onboard, a viewing deck at the top of the boat provides excellent visibility, and the vessel is custom-built for shark cage diving, allowing for easy movement and observation. Enjoy refreshing beverages, including water, soft drinks, and a fruit basket, while a light lunch awaits you upon your return— homemade vegetable soup, fresh bread rolls, or a selection of toasted sandwiches. In the afternoon, head to Hermanus, famous for its gourmet restaurants, boutique shops, and art galleries, as well as being a significant breeding ground for southern right whales during the Whale Season from May/June to December. This delightful coastal town offers some of the best land-based whale watching in the world, visible from a scenic cliff-top walk. You’ll have time for shopping before enjoying dinner around 19:00 (dinner not included) and then transferred back to your accommodation.
