Transfer from Maun International Airport to the Tented Safari Lodge Near Maun
When you arrive at the airport, you will be welcomed and transported to the tented camping near Maun, which serves as the perfect starting point for exploring the expansive Okavango Delta. After checking in and refreshing, you can relax in your ensuite tent and enjoy the warm African sun by the pool. A delicious dinner will be served around 19:00.
Scenic Land Transfer to the Tented Safari Lodge in the Moremi Game Reserve and Afternoon Guided Game Drive
After breakfast, you'll set off on a scenic and extensive drive your lodge in the Moremi Game Reserve, which promises to be an adventure in itself. Upon check-in, enjoy a relaxed lunch followed by a traditional High Tea before embarking on an afternoon Game Drive in an Open Safari Vehicle with experienced field guide. Experience the excitement of spotting the most iconic animals of the African bush, culminating in a romantic sundowner. As night descends, this quintessential African experience will continue with a search for nocturnal animals using specially adjusted spotlights for the comfort of both viewers and wildlife, before returning to the lodge for a delicious Buffet Dinner. Located on the edge of the famous Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Wildlife concession, you wll be in the jeart of the Big Game Country, you’ll have access to some of Botswana's best wildlife viewing, with both land and water-based activities, and the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of a community.
Safaris in Moremi and Khwai
After an early breakfast, you'll embark on an adventure safari to explore Moremi and Khwai through morning and afternoon guided game drives and enjoy the incredible diversity of flora and fauna that Botswana's game reserves have to offer. Khwai Reserve lies between Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve, renowned for its varied habitats and abundant wildlife, including wild dogs, elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, gemsbok, and waterbuck. Established in 1963, Moremi Game Reserve covers nearly 5,000 sq. km of the breathtaking Okavango Delta, with only about 30% of the Reserve being mainland and the rest situated within the Delta itself. In the evenings a hearty dinner will be awaiting for you at the lodge.
Scenic Land Transfer from the Lodge to the Tented Safari Lodge Near Maun and Xobe Cultural Village Tour
After breakfast, you'll be transferred back to your tented accommodation near Maun through a scenic and lengthy drive that is an adventure its own. Once you arrive and check- in, you'll have some time to refresh before embarking on Xobe Cultural Tour, where you'll experience local customs and traditions in a nearby village You'll return to the lodge for a dinner around 19:00.
Full Open Vehicle Game Drive to Makgadikgadi Pans Nxai Pans and Baines Baobab
Following breakfast, you will set off on a day trip to the Makgadikgadi Pans, Nxai Pan, and Baines' Baobab. Makgadikgadi is one of the largest salt pans in the world, showcasing an enchanting and elusive beauty across 3,900 sq.km. Nxai Pan, a hidden gem of Botswana, features breathtaking landscapes where you might spot springbok, impala, and more. The park is famous for its remarkable zebra migration, as they travel 250 km from the Chobe River floodplains in Namibia to Nxai Pan during the wet season from late November to April, before heading back in the dry season. Baines' Baab, named after explorer Thomas Baines, is located on the edge of a stunning pan, surrounded by ancient baobab trees, often called the sleeping sisters. You will enjoy lunch before returning to the camp near Maun, where a delightful dinner will be served at the camp around 19:00 after a long, dusty day.
Relaxed Morning and transfer to Maun International Airport
After a delicious breakfast at the lodge, you'll have plenty of time to bid farewell to the stunning views of the lodge before being transferred to the Maun International Airport. This marks the end of your tour.
